Pastor David Brecheen is a third generation minister who began his ministry in 1994 as Youth Pastor and Christian Education Director with Reverend Norman Owens of Faith Tabernacle in Odessa, TX. It was at this time that he married his lovely wife Tracy.

In 1998, David and Tracy moved to Memphis, TN to work with Evangel Church, pastored by Dr. Michael Tullos. During his five years there, David served as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor. While there David and Tracy had a fruitful time of ministry.

In addition to his time in ministry, David has had incredible opportunities in the market place which led to his managing both retail clothing stores and restaurants further developing his ability to assess the needs of people and organizations. His real desire is to preach the gospel and empower people to reach new heights in Christ and develop strong lives for Kingdom purposes.

In 2008 David and Tracy moved to Memphis, TN with the desire to pastor a life-giving church that’s ministry is centered on Christ commandment of loving God and loving people while being culturally relevant and biblically sound. In the time they have spent getting re-acclimated to Memphis they have answered God’s call to launch Living Oaks Church on Palm Sunday April 5th, 2009.

David, Tracy and Zachary reside in Oakland, Tennessee with their puppy Peanut.
